Tourism | The Pas valley
The region of the Pasiegos Valleys includes the water basins of the rivers Pas, Pisueña and Miera. These are three valleys that are very similar culturally and socially in all  concerning the rural population that live there now and have done so for the last five centuries. This population has, over the centuries, shaped the area into one of the most unusual agrarian landscapes within the Cantabrian Mountains. However, within this socio-cultural homogeneity each valley has its own idiosyncrasies with identifying features that distinguish between neighbours, making each valley unique in its Pasiegan context. The physical shaping of the territory, or questions related to recent economic development, is based on these local features.
